Sometimes it takes a village to accomplish a big task, and the updating of the IFHIMA Learning Modules certainly proves this point. These efforts were largely undertaken by the 2025 Education, Training, and Research (ETR) Strategic Pillar, along with other volunteers who contributed specialized knowledge.
These modules serve as informal education tools that can be used in a variety of settings. They illustrate the complexity of the health information management function, the importance of high-quality data, and the diverse skills essential to managing privacy. Additionally, the modules provide guidance in establishing a health information management educational program. New with this 2026 edition is a module dedicated to ICD-11 coding.
These modules are not intended for formal training or curriculum development.
