Focus on the Future of HIM 2027

IFHIMA is delighted to announce the opening of FOF 2027 Call for Abstracts!!

This is a great opportunity to showcase innovation, new projects, and key successes you’ve enjoyed in the past year.  Our FOF series presents an outstanding opportunity to collaborate with HI/HIM colleagues around the globe and experience new perspectives. Presenters gain high exposure through IFHIMA marketing on LI, and through our nations who cascade our marketing materials. 

 We are collecting abstracts using Oxford Abstracts, a cloud-based event management platform.  Submittals close November 25, so put your fingers to the keyboard. 

 Based upon feedback from the 2025 and 2026 events, we will feature the following topics:

  •  Business Intelligence/Analytics in HI/HIM Practice
  • AI in Healthcare
  • Privacy, Compliance, Security, Governance 
  • HIM Interoperability Leadership through Standards & Frameworks  
  • Workforce Development Education, including research 
  • Classifications, Terminologies 
  • HIMs in LMICs and SIDS 
  • ICD-11

New for 2027 is the opportunity to submit an electronic poster.  We encourage professionals and students to consider this option.  Details about poster requirements will be issued in early 2027, but submittals should be made now. 

Submitters will be notified by early February of acceptance or decline.  The events will be held mid April through May 2027.
