The IFHIMA ICD‑11 Community of Practice (CoP) is a well‑established global forum supporting Health Information Management (HIM) professionals and practitioners as they prepare for and progress through ICD‑11 adoption and implementation. The CoP provides a collaborative space for discussion, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of best practices related to ICD‑11 across diverse health systems worldwide.

The CoP meets quarterly and welcomes members at all stages of their ICD‑11 journey to share updates, explore challenges, and learn from the experiences of peers and colleagues from different countries and settings.

The ICD 11 CoP is supported by an experienced leadership team:

  • Kathy Giannangelo – Convenor
  • Gowri Sriraman – Co-Convenor
  • Michelle Badore – Secretariat: mbadore@solventum.com

Each CoP meeting typically includes IFHIMA updates, member-led sharing on the current state of ICD‑11 adoption and implementation, discussion of common challenges, and open question-and-answer sessions. Selected meetings may also feature invited speakers who present insights from their country’s ICD‑11 implementation journey.
